These images were captured while cruising the waters of Southeast Alaska, through the heart of Tongass National Park — the largest temperate rainforest in the world. It's a landscape unlike anywhere else: glaciers calving into the sea, misty fjords carved by centuries of ice, and dense old-growth forest running straight down to the water's edge.
Navigating this region felt like moving through a place still largely untouched — quiet channels, towering peaks, and wildlife that outnumbers people by a wide margin. The light here is different too, filtered through fog and rain, then breaking through in brief, dramatic bursts.
This gallery reflects time spent slowly making our way through these waters, camera in hand, taking in a wilderness that felt both remote and deeply alive.
