I come from a family of painters. I never picked up a brush myself — but I found my own version of one the day I bought my first camera.

I spent thirty years at sea as a Super Yacht Captain, and for the last twenty of those, a camera was never far from my hand. I bought my first DSLR ten years into my career, thinking it would just be a way to hold onto the places I visited. It slowly became the thing I couldn't put down — and eventually, it became my life's work. Today I'm a full-time landscape photographer, and those three decades on, and around the water are still the foundation of everything I shoot.

Thirty years navigating some of the most beautiful and remote corners of the planet taught me how to really look at a place. From the glass-and-steel skylines of major cities to uninhabited islands where the only footprints are the ones I've left behind, I've learned to find what makes each location singular — the light at a certain hour, the mood of the water, the quiet moment before a place gives up its best self. That instinct, sharpened over years on the water, is what I chase in every image now, above the surface and below it.

I shoot with Canon R5 series cameras and Canon L series glass, and for underwater work I dive with Nauticam housing and gear — chasing the same light and detail beneath the surface that I look for on land. I still find myself amazed by what this equipment makes possible — the clarity, the color, the way technology keeps closing the gap between what I see and what I can capture.

My years on the water shaped a career I never quite planned, and I'm grateful it did. For many years I have created experiences, memories, and images for yacht owners and charter guests, turning a cruise on the water into something they can hold onto long after they've stepped back. I offer the images on this site for sale as fine art prints and for licensing. I welcome freelance inquiries for assignments photographing yachts, estates, destinations, and events.
