From Ship to Sanctuary

Pompano Beach, Florida

The M/V Okinawa rests in silent majesty 70 feet beneath the waves off the coast of Pompano Beach, Florida. Purposefully sunk in 2017, this artificial reef has, over the past decade, become a vibrant underwater oasis. Coral colonies now flourish along its hull, attracting a kaleidoscope of fish and other marine life, transforming the wreck into a living testament to the resilience and beauty of the ocean.
