This image tells its own story. But my story goes like this. Through sheer determination, luck, and not being alone, this image, my camera, and I still exist. As I arrived at just the right spot, after log-hopping like playing a game of Frogger, the floating log I was standing on began to roll, and down I went between two giant wooden rollers, like a plastic leaf in a laminating machine. I raised the camera and tripod high atop the 2 logs like the Statue of Liberty's torch, and my friend took care of the rest with an assisted rescue. I nearly bloody drowned.
