GOLDEN GLOW OF ZAMBIA

Lower Zambezi, Zambia

Sundown in Zambia, along the winding banks of the Zambezi River, was nothing short of magical. As the golden light of day faded, hippos bellowed in the shallows while crocodiles lounged lazily on the riverbanks. Across the water, tree-lined mountains stood silhouetted against the sky, elephants ambling gracefully through the tall grass, all bathed in a luminous, honeyed glow. Perched atop the front of our jeep, a chilled gin and tonic in hand, savoring biltong and dried fruits, I found myself utterly immersed in the wild symphony of Africa—an experience so vivid and dreamlike, it will linger with me forever.
